Computer Scientists

Computer Scientists and database administrators can work as theorists, researchers, or inventors. This is determined by their level of theoretical expertise, and their ability to create or apply to new technology. Computer scientists and database administrators usually work in offices or laboratories and about 40 hours a week, although evening and weekend work may be needed for deadlines. Computer scientists and database administrators held about 542,000 jobs in May 2006 and about 58,000 were self-employed,these jobs consisted of detailed occupations such as,network systems and data communications analysts-262,000,computer specialists,all other-136,000,database administrators-119,000,computer and information scientists,research-25,000. For technically complex jobs people who have a graduate degree are preferred, most computer scientists positions require a Ph.D degree. Having a bachelor or master’s degree makes them very limited for advancing in their position. Any job in technology is very important, technology is the present and the future!
